Product Description
The hollow oropharyngeal airway (Guedel Airway) provides reliable airway support by keeping the tongue from falling back. With smooth surface and hollow channel, it minimizes irritation and maximizes ventilation efficiency. Available in multiple color-coded sizes. Disposable for infection control. Ideal for use in operating rooms, ICUs and emergency situations.
How to Use it?
Patient Assessment
Evaluate the patient’s consciousness and breathing to confirm the need for airway management.
Select Proper Size
Choose the appropriate size according to the patient’s age and body type. Sizes are clearly color-coded for adult, pediatric, and infant use.
Position the Patient
Tilt the patient’s head backward to align the oral cavity and pharynx for easy insertion.
Insertion Procedure
Hold the oropharyngeal airway with the concave side upward and gently insert along the tongue. After reaching the pharynx, rotate 180° so the concave side faces downward to support the tongue and prevent obstruction. Ensure the distal end is properly positioned without compressing the larynx.
Fixation & Check
Secure the airway in place. Observe chest rise and fall and auscultate breath sounds to confirm a patent airway.
Disposal
For single use only. Discard properly as medical waste after use. Please do not reuse.
